Loday was born and raised in the remote village of Yoakling Yoeser Chhoeling Geonpa under Lhuentse District in Bhutan. He joined the civil service in 1989 and last worked with the Royal Society for the Protection of Nature (RSPN) a local non-government, not-for-profit environmental organization for seven years as Adm./Finance Officer. He resigned and returned to rural Yungtoed valley in 2001 and founded Yungtoed Development Association (YDA) a non-profit,  community based organization to collaboratively uplift rural Yungtoed  socio-economic conditions. Yungtoed Tours & Treks (YTT), is a sister organization of YDA established  to raise funds for rural development activities. 

He instituted YTT, the only travel agent in Bhutan, working fully for the rural people with a believe that the tourism in Bhutan should have the direct and wider benefits, especially  to the rural communities.
